Research into plant flammability of North Queensland biomes continues with our Spring semester directed research group Amy, Audrey, Dan and Owen. The twist - they found that dry forest trees were less flammable than both rainforest and savanna species.

For a few moments as I stood at the feet of this colossus, I felt like I was in a land of myth. This amazing Abbey tree (Ficus albipila) in Bali is estimated to be ~700 years old and no doubt the largest (non-banyan) fig tree I have ever encountered.
