We are excited to release Aydin, a user-friendly, feature-rich, and fast image denoising tool. Fantastic work by @_AhmetCanSolak , Hirofumi Kobayashi, and Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network alumni Joshua Batson royerlab.github.io/aydin #image #denoising #Microscopy #Python #automagic 1/n

Here is our new preprint of image denoising in fluorescence microscopy using our Noise2Noise ImageJ plugin. There is no need for retraining the model. The denoising is instant, accurate (~8dB improvement in PSNR), and easy to use. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

I am looking for a protein biochemist to join my team. If you are keen to purify proteins and then see them move under the microscope, apply by 9th January. RTs very welcome. bit.ly/3dC73ew

Updated version of our figure visualizing different labeling techniques for SMLM after feedback from @UEndesfelder and Christophe Leterrier. bivBC2 Nb is now divalent with a single dye (thx AlphaFold2) and 2ndary Ab is rotated to not exaggerate the displacement compared to labeled primary.

First time I've heard of this UV-curable hydrogel for refractive-index-matched mounting. More flexible than low melt agarose and less cooking of your sample!

Healthy freezing of monolayer cells could solve the transport problems when sharing microscopes across institutes. Freeze, post on dry ice(?), thaw, wait 24hrs, image! #midlandsopenbioimaging Midlands Innovation

The main discussion points are summarized in our extended data figure shown here. We describe topics ranging from light sheet confinement to post processing, with the hope of guiding new users through some of the challenges and pitfalls unique to LSFM. 2/4
