Great to pop into NICE & GRAPHIC’s Peckham Perspective Exhibition at Peckham Arches this afternoon. A joyful, fun tribute to our fantastic part of south east London - and I even picked up my own print!

Really significant graffiti spotted all over this bus shelter on Rye Lane. This has been reported to TfL and I look forward to its speedy removal.

Great to visit the elimhousecas today, and meet the team running this important day service for older residents from Caribbean, African and other ethnic minority communities. Food for thought on what the centre needs in order to continue to flourish after 44 years of service.

This is a positive outcome. The new arrangement with The Trampery 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ will protect jobs while maintaining Peckham Levels as an affordable workspace option for businesses which local people can also continue to enjoy.

Peckham Levels is a vital community asset in the centre of Rye Lane. Southwark Council and John Batteson have taken positive action to secure its operations with The Trampery 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️, and protect local jobs.

Spoke to lots of residents this evening at my first residents’ surgery, joining Cllr Jasmine Ali on the Consort Estate. Next surgery: this Tuesday coming at 6pm on the Pelican Estate, with Cllr Esme Dobson.

I hear Keir Starmer has removed a Thatcher portrait from 10 Downing Street. If he’s looking for something to go in its place… 👀

An abandoned van - blighting residents at this spot on Choumert Road since early May - has been removed! Thank you to the Southwark Council team who responded to this issue when I raised it when informed of it this week.

Great to visit the brilliant Peckham Rye Park Fete today!  Lots of wonderful food, plant and book stalls for the local community to enjoy. I also heard from the Friends group about their fantastic Community wildlife garden & their exciting future plans for the park.
