VUVALE 📍 The 🇫🇯 delegation led by Hon. iliavi seruiratu & Hon. Jone Usamate held a very fruitful meeting with an 🇦🇺 team led by Minister for Emergency Management Hon. Senator Murray Watt during a bilateral dinner in Brisbane last night ahead of the #APMCDRR which begins today. 🇫🇯🤝🇦🇺
Day 1 - #APMCDRR 📌 Team Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and DM led by Hon. iliavi seruiratu held a bilateral meeting with 🇮🇳 on the margins of the #APMCDRR in Brisbane, 🇦🇺this morning. Hon. iliavi seruiratu used the opportunity to thank his counterpart on the various assistance they have offered 🇫🇯 over the years.
Productive discussions held between the 🇫🇯 delegation led by Hon. iliavi seruiratu & the IFRC Asia Pacific team today. 📍Top on the agenda was the review of the NDM Act ➡️the recent inaugural meeting of the #PacDRR Ministers ➡️potential areas of future collaboration

Day 4️⃣ - #APMCDRR Team 🇫🇯 led by Hon. iliavi seruiratu & Hon. Jone Usamate started the day with a meeting with a team from JICA - Japan International Cooperation Agency with discussions ranging from #DRR, early warning systems & sharing of lessons learnt from past disasters.
Team 🇫🇯 led by Hon. iliavi seruiratu joined other #APMCDRR delegates today to visit the Queensland warehouse based in Brisbane. A great opportunity for the team to learn from our 🇦🇺 #Vuvale on warehousing & logistical arrangements to help us better prepare for future humanitarian ops.
Members of the Ministry's senior management met today to discuss key issues pertinent to our work in rural 🇫🇯. Minister iliavi seruiratu acknowledged the contribution of all s/ members & reminded the team about the need to ensure preparedness at all levels for the upcoming 🌀 season.
