My psychiatry rotation has been the most rewarding and enjoyable experience I have ever had. I'm sad that tomorrow's my last day but I CANNOT wait to do this for the rest of my life!!

On my pain management rotation and the one thing I've noticed is there is little emphasis on the psychosomatic management for chronic pain.... may not completely help but its worthwhile for physicians to address mental health as well as physical health, not just in psychiatry.

The best place to relax is near water. After just 2 minutes of viewing water outdoors, blood pressure and heart rate drop. It's more calming to look at a lake, pool, or stream than trees or grass. Beaches are popular for a reason. Wider bodies of water bring more tranquility.
