After WW2, we spent our way out of trouble. We built the NHS, council homes, decent social security & public services. We taxed the rich at 90%. Gov debt was reduced from 250% of GDP to 50% From 2010 to 2020, we slashed these things & gov debt soared from 50% to 90% of GDP.
