This was always going to be England's best avenue to success: hammer Australia's brittle Top 6 with raw pace, watch them inevitably go into their shell and wait for the results. #AUSvENG #Ashes

Literally threw my head back at that Starc dismissal.... Is every single one of these players - on both sides - allergic to actually digging in? Put some value on your wicket, fuck me drunk. I really hate this sort of cricket #AUSvENG #Ashes

This is not Ashes cricket. This was was lazy, technically poor and dumb batting that gifted bowlers wickets for most of the day.

With India in strife in the 2nd Test against South Africa, Kuldeep Yadav - a legit tail ender - survives 134 deliveries to score 19, helping India recover (sort of) from 7/122 to 8/194. If he can do it, so can fucking you, England #Ashes

…: there isn’t one. Which is to say that the Stokes-McCullum tenure, or Bazball if you will, is not a philosophy but a belief (a cult?). And if you’re a non-believer, you can piss off. Which imo is not a great blueprint for improvement (Bazball 2.0?) nor sustained success.

Phenomenal start to the season, but to paraphrase the old AFL adage, Stanley Cups aren't won in November. Hope they can maintain this standard for a while yet.

So Fox Footy is currently showing, as part of their 'Best Games Ever' series, the 1993 Grand Final. Definitely a great game for the Bombers, but considering they were 42 points up about 5 mins into Q2 and the contest was effectively over, not quite sure how it qualifies.

Very good side, but mystified as to why they've gone with five bowlers, one of whom (Hadley) has no claim to a spot based on career numbers, leaving the side a batsman short. Clearly someone like a Handscomb or Patterson should be in that top order.
