Did you know the most successful black coach in Big South Bball history was from Radford? That’s right Charlene Curtis coached 4 WBB teams to reg. season c’hips & 3 tourn. c’hips & was named COY twice! She’s now coordinator of officials for the ACC in women’s Bball #BlackHistoryMonth

Today we salute fmr Radford MBB coach Oliver Purnell. OP was COY at Radford, ODU & Dayton & went to 6 NCAA’s w/ODU & Clemson, won 2 CAA reg. season titles, & a CAA tourney title. He had 12 20-win season and won over 440 games. Also served as NABC president. #BlackHistoryMonth

Our community mourns the loss of a true pioneer, family man & incredible friend. George Harvey served as a business leader for 70 years. George will be remembered as a true statesman & beloved Highlander. We will miss his warm personality & engaging stories. His legacy lives on!
