C'mon Britain, Let's say a huge thanks to Rep. Jamie Raskin for this beautiful takedown of Farrage today.
Just over the border for Saturday footie with David Gray for a Notts Senior League Div 1 match. Calverton Miners Welfare FC v Radcliffe Olympic FC The home side were 2-0 up and in control and thought they’d won it. Ended up losing 6-2
Before footie today myself and David Gray went to the Peak District in South Yorkshire to look at a well confiding Dotterel, and we weren’t disappointed. It was showing down to 15 feet, absolutely amazing views. Video by David Gray
So after a bit of birdwatching myself & David Gray went on to watch Hallam FC v Blyth Spartans and John Hague joined us so the crew was complete for the footie. It wasn’t a great game but I’ve seen a lot worse, 1-1 was I think a fair result.
Saturday footie with David Gray & John Hague was only just over the border into Nottinghamshire for a NSL Intermediate cup 1st round tie between East Leake Robins FC v Elston Utd the home side progressing into the next round winning 4-3
Day 10 on Shetland with David Gray. Again the weather wasn’t good to us, really low clouds and mizzely rain at times. We did find 3 Slavonian Grebes off Aith Harbour, but not much else, but not for the want of trying. There’s always tomorrow.
Day 11 on Shetland with David Gray. Weather was a lot better today and even caught up with the B.w.Teal at last. Lots of waders at the Pool of Virkie and even found a G.W. Egret at Outdoor centre at Bridgend. What will our last day bring. 🤞
Back home now after a brilliant 12 days on Shetland. As usual saw some great birds. Met the annual suspects, the West Midland crew and the London crew always a good craic and great to meet Phil Jones. To my crew Andy & David Gray thanks for the laughs, brilliant!
Nipped over to Eyebrook Reservoir this morning to have a look at the American Golden Plover found by Andy Makay. Showed well, though distantly from the Rutland side. Good see David Gray & Toby Carter Great find Andy 👍
