A bit late, but this year we started with field work, collecting overwintering Culex mosquitoes in abandoned war bunkers along the Netherlands with the One Health Entomology Group, Wageningen University team. These mosquitoes go into a state of diapause, sheltering themselves and increasing their fat content.
