I’m not skilled at sketching or illustration, so if I want illustrations to accompany my #writing work, I’ll have to pay someone else to generate them for me … one way or another. 🤔

My muse has been singing. I found a way to reincorporate the alt-prologue version of 𝘙𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘚𝘪𝘥𝘦 into the prime narrative. This moves the relevant plot details into the 30-year gap before Book 2, so they may not be usable, but at least I’m not #writing sideways anymore.

I spent the better part of Wednesday working with Grok to design a new project banner for #TheOppositeSides. We iterated off a character design my daughter sketched for me a couple years ago. This image was the runner-up, but I think I’ll go with a more … characterful version.

I love English. It’s a language the beats up other languages in the alley and picks their pockets.

Shared this scene sketch from Book 8 of #TheOppositeSides in a reply, so I figured I should reshare it along with my working design for the prospective chapter’s point-of-view character.

In all fairness to Sam Altman, whenever I visit the local grocery or warehouse store, I’m reminded how difficult it is for those of average intelligence to navigate the world. If we want to continue enjoying an advanced, technological civilization, I see two possible solutions.

I wonder why our enlightened elites want us to stop eating meat or to eat bugs instead. I wonder. 🤔
