Great article highlighting success of the UK higher education sector in generating export earnings - £25.6bn a year, so more than aerospace or pharma. Or fish. Fish exports are a drop in the ocean next to overseas student fees ft.com/content/6cb2a7…

More evidence in favour of small vesicles as major transport carriers? Cells in nocodazole still traffic, just with lower efficiency. Can't all be along stable microtubules.

A little cytochalasin promotes ciliogenesis. I wonder if the actin mesh around the centrosome acts to prevent premature axoneme extension. Do the early stages of ciliogenesis provide the microtubule pressure to breach that actin network? Thought provoking work #cilia #cellbiology

Thanks to everyone tweeting using #celldyn2023 The meeting sounds like it was great. Wish I could have been there. Tweets useful in terms of being aware of what is going on but not comparable to the in person experience.

"City didn’t just beat Madrid, they barely acknowledged them." theguardian.com/football/2023/… Outstanding writing by Jonathan Liew (as usual). I'm no Man City fan but this was quite something.

Lovely to receive this award from the RMS. Thanks so much to those who nominated me. Thanks also for the kind words/likes/RTs etc - not really active on X anymore but I wanted to show my appreciation.
