I was heavily considering jumping into Starfield but the discourse is so toxic and the game is clearly going to get some patches so I’m fine with waiting for a bit. If I’m going to invest my time into an immersive experience I want the vibes to be just right.

Gonna be pretentious and say people like this are anti-art. Nothing wrong with a game having them, but this idea that a game MUST have them regardless of the devs wishes is just signaling that you don't see this as a piece of art to experience, just a product to burn through.
