Unwritten rule of the week: don't try and emotionally blackmail someone with a chronic illness by mentioning your upcoming life-improving operation. I'm standing in front of you holding a stick for balance. You're 15 years older than me and you can walk further than I can.

Ok. Update: a call from the clinical covid unit at the hospital. Another check of symptoms and timings and a promise that a doctor will call me back to say if I’m eligible for any treatment. Maybe tomorrow. FFS. How much does all this bureaucracy cost?

MSers! Has anyone else tried #Fampridine aka #Fampyra or #Dalfampridine ? Did it work for you? What differences did you notice? Ended my trial period last Thurs and legs feel way more fatigued now I'm off it. Clonus has returned also. #MS

OK. I've sumitted my report to the UK meteor network as a silent fireball breaking up in the southern sky coloured white like a magnesium flash (school science memory). Actually quite excited! Had my ocrevus today as well so it's all happening today!

Fampridine can improve walking speed in people with MS by 25% but NICE have said it's not cost effective for NHS use in England. I've shared what fampridine would mean to me, please join me mssoc.uk/3pWqDIk

Here's a picture of me and my big brother hanging out in the 1970s. I think I look pretty cool. I like the red cardigan. All that's missing from my ensemble is a cane and a pipe. It's his birthday next month so looking for pics.

Please forgive the length of this🧵, but it contains a tale I need to tell, a story of courage, redemption, and love. First, the difficult bit, the headline... our beloved old cat Hector has departed this vale of tears. She was magnificent...
