The proposed IHT changes risk uncertainty for small family farms and I'm calling for a review to ensure fairness, stability, and a strong partnership between farmers and government. We must get this right, and I am confident that there is a positive way forward.

Small farmers in the Uk are being driven to the wall - first through the removal of the old single farm payments and now with the end of the SFI environmental scheme - the damage to families and rural communities will be deep and permanent.

March 2024 vs March 2025 Opposite ends of the climate change spectrum, both representing the new normal for food & farming.

Where will our food come from over the next 40 years? Unless more is home grown we will be in serious trouble

Worth noting that the US does have inheritance tax but the limit is set at $15m per person or $30m per couple. America has many successful businesses that can be passed on. A £1m limit here is way too low!
