Gail Vaz-Oxlade Surgeon here. We have 80-95 % of operating rooms (and recovery spaces) that sit empty evenings, nights and weekends. Staffing them more outside of traditional business hours would be far cheaper than building new spaces and losing $ to profit. You are right.
