The whole office just broke out in applause and cheer, ignited by a small team cheering their own success. That was so totally awesome and random. It’s great to work with such a an amazing group of folks. 🥰

New on our blog today: We built Cyborg, an open source implementation of VectorDrawable for iOS, to more easily implement designs across our apps. ubere.ng/2k0ZXbn

Trying to avoid symbol bloat in a library, but the new Smart Layout for Sketch makes that tough if you want to support buttons that work on both left and right side alignments, while also allowing them to be removed from the symbol (with correct auto-resizing).

I discovered “ambiance” videos on YouTube earlier this week and I’m hooked. Apparently, I really like the sound of rain + (insert fantasy/scifi backtrack).

Why is there not a remote karaoke solution yet? I wanna hear my friends sing songs poorly on a video call while we all drink in isolation. Anyone working on this?

Slack etiquette survey. When sending a DM to someone, should you always open with a greeting or just get to the topic/ask? If you believe in salutations, is there a scenario where you don’t need to? Like, always on first DM of a new day, but not subsequent?

If you don’t come out of this quarantine with either: 1.) a new skill 2.) starting what you’ve been putting off like a new business 3.) more knowledge That's perfectly fucking fine you're currently going through a historical event out of your control it's not a bank holiday

It’s kinda lame to stare at the screen instead of the camera on video calls on a computer. I know we can make pinhole cameras. Why isn’t there a ‘drop webcam’ that hangs into the middle of your monitor so you can look at people and appear to be looking at them?

Imagine if figmadesign licensed Around by Miro Labs tech so you could launch video chat with collaborators right from a file. Around’s non-intrusive floating format would be the perfect fit.

Design systems designers be like, “I need a base component to change all the buttons at once” and then Buttons don’t change for like 5 years. 🤪

I can't be the only one who sees pending updates to components in their library and can't remember or forgot what they did. Library maintainers in Figma would likely benefit from additional actions

Who works on Slack? Here's a free AI idea. I want a summary of my day. How many threads I engaged with, how many people I shared DMs with, how many posts I made, how many channels I reviewed. I need a report that I can share about why I got nothing else done during the day. :D
