One thing that has gone under the radar thus far for #Mets is Pham's day/night splits. He's been Mets best hitter in day games, slashing 326/404/605. Considering the eye issues he's had during his career, this may not be an anomaly. Buck should always start Tommy Pham in day games

I was excited to see that Buck is hitting Alvarez 2nd & that Vientos is going to start. But then I looked at bottom of lineup. Tommy Pham should only start in day games! And I love Escobar against the lefty, but he could be at 2B & Jeff McNeil in LF--then Baty could still play.

(1) Mets rotation for 2023 could have been Zack Wheeler, Marcus Stroman, Chris Bassitt, Seth Lugo, Rich Hill. 1) Zach Wheeler 3.91 ERA, including sub3 ERA for Phillies last postseason when they went to the World Series 2) Marcus Stroman (2.39 ERA including his 8 dominant innings

3) Chris Bassitt (3.29 ERA, including his 7 2/3 shutout innings against the Mets that started this mess) 4) Seth Lugo (4.10 ERA and he consistently wanted to be a starter) 5) Rich Hill (4.41 ERA and about to beat the Mets tonight, though I guess everyone does that these days 😞

I like Tommy Pham a lot & he does have good stats against Cole, but I think he should only play in day games. He's hitting .373 with 5 homers in day games, but just .100 with 1 hr in night games. If @mets can't get 5 innings from Justin Verlander though, I assume they'll be swept.

#Mets should play Luis Guillorme at 2B regularly and hit him near top of the lineup. He's been hitting well recently (.364 in his last 7 games) and is Mets only .300 hitter in night games this year. Tonight I'd go Nimmo, Guillorme, Alonso, Alvarez, Lindor 1-5. McNeil can play RF.
