The AI-is-IP-theft lawyers need to focus on the pre-training act of copying the training material to the repo in the first place. THAT is the unauthorized infringement, not the training part.

All humans want is the opportunity to improve their lives. When people do not have economic opportunities available to them, their only option becomes to bet whatever little they can gather with the hope that luck will change their fortune.

NFT mints genuinely solved this, and many other real problems. But the NFT industry got filled to the brim with scammers and gave the tech a bad name.

I beg the crypto industry to stop thinking about monetization first when targeting gaming audiences. Runescape3 is getting bodied by Old School RuneScape because the RE3 team put monetization first, while the OSRS team just tries to make the best game possible, at a fair price

This is another of Canada's root problems. Canadians are extremely adverse to risk/change adverse. They seem to think the solution is to change things as little as possible (big changes are deemed too risky), and just throw more money at the problem instead.

Uh what? I’m pretty that’s not legal in North America and Europe. You can’t just unilaterally change the terms of the contract. This isn’t Star Wars.

BTC has and will become more centralized as emissions drop and miner margins become thinner. At some point, that centralization will threaten the core value proposition of BTC. I suspect the big players will subsidize smaller node runners, like Google subsidizes Firefox.

The fact that no one ever seems to mention that FDR just straight up stole everyone's gold, and it's just taken as a fun historical quirk and not something that should have resulted in open and violent revolution is insane to me.
