The DE-2 may look like a cursed connector but it’s actually really good. Very positive mechanical polarisation of the connector. High current capacity (like an XT-60), low contact resistance. Same old D-sub E footprint, backshells, locking screws, spacers and panel cutouts etc.

Sipeed TangNano9k sending Mipi CSI2 frames to a Raspberry Pi at 400Mbps, without 3rd party IP :) . I currently only send the packet "Frame Start" , but the Pi CSI peripheral seems happy with my signal comming from a bunch of IOs and some resistors :)
