Got back from a weekend in Cullowhee to this pile of topsoil that needs to be moved from driveway to garden. Thank you, Martin for lending a hand (along with the chickens).

It’s Dinosaur Day at the ballpark and it is a better than usual crowd. Weather is perfect. Good to get outside after two emotionally and physically draining nights of “free hockey on Thursday and last night. LETS GO CANES! LETS GO CANNON BALLERS!

One of the many lessons my Pop taught me…hard work in a garden. Couldn’t think of a better way to honor him this weekend…

Martin and I went out to the Rowan Wildlife Club today to get some Father’s Day range time and he surprised me by bringing out the long bow. I love his willingness to try new and different things.

Unfortunately, the children of today will not appreciate the trials and tribulations of Wile E. Coyote.

Caught this view when leaving this morning for Asheville for the last day of the July Quarterly Meeting of the North Carolina State Bar Council. Makes for a nice start to the day.

Missing the mountains today…57 absolutely beautiful degrees and a frost warning tonight! But it’s a hockey-Luke Bryan concert kind of weekend …still miss the mountains.

Today I am a bird fan of a different feather…GO O’s. Great to see playoff baseball return to a great franchise.

Opening Night intros are always special. With that being said, I don't know if I've ever seen any coach get a pop like Rod Brind'Amour. The fan base and this city love this guy beyond words.

Started the morning in one really nice stream full of wild rainbows and transitioned to another small creek after lunch to pick up some wild brookies. Mission accomplished. A really good day.

Haven’t been at the tying bench in a while but knowing that I may have a trip to the Tuck next weekend, and knowing that a WD40 has brought results in the past, I tied up some in hopes they bring fish to hand. Thanks to my friend Richard S Gottlieb for supplying me with feathers

Another fun weekend as Dana and I went back to the Clay County Annual Pumpkin Chunkin It didn’t disappoint. Scenery was incredible as the leaves are peaking and the weather was perfect.

Truth…

Dana and I have decided to get tickets to a variety of shows and concerts for Christmas gifts to one another. Tonight we attended Cirque de Noel with the Charlotte Symphony. Great show and I recommend it. Great job coordinating the performances and music.
