Thank you to Deric and Ireland AM for coming to Midleton to view the damage following yesterday’s flooding. East Cork requires urgent additional support to get businesses and households back on their feet.

This is not good: it’s been raining in #Midleton for the past hour and the #flood water is already bubbling up through the manhole covers and gathering on Main Street. Cork County Council staff are back distributing sand bags and there’s a yellow rain warning in force until 9am. RTÉ News

We will be holding a bucket collection for The Midleton Hub at tomorrow night’s First Division game with Kerry All support appreciated. The Midleton Hub is a cause doing great work for the town after yesterday’s floods which hit so many Midleton homes and business 👏 💜💙

#TonightVMTV It's easy to blame climate change on flood disasters but that is of no help to the people of Midleton and beyond. Action is required now, not tomorrow or the next day....action now and build the flood defence system....now

#TonightVMTV People in Midleton and other affected areas need real and proper financial assistance now and flood relief schemes need to be built NOW!

This is worth another retweet. I came very close to dying in 2015 with a septic infection. I was in hospital for 17 days, and had to go back later to have 30cm of my intestine cut out and restitched. Fourteen nationalities were in my care team. I’m indebted to every one of them.

#rtept #leadersdebate if this is supposed to be a debate then let the party leaders actually debate and enough of the constant interruption from Sarah McInerney and Miriam O'Callaghan

My late Mum begged that she never go to a nursing home and I assured her it would never happen. I lived with Mum and I made sure she was cared for at home by me and the home help team and I held her hand as she died at home. These nursing homes are not homes #RTEInvestigates

#TonightVMTV For a FF Deputy to refer to people who protest as a mob is a disgrace. People all over Ireland are struggling and at the pin of their collar. If the Government actually listened and acted for the citizens who elected them, we wouldn't be in this situation
