We. Are. Blessed. New mercies every day, need-shaped grace every moment, Abba’s steadfast love, Jesus’ nonstop advocacy, the Holy Spirit’s 24/7 testimony to our adoption and belovedness—each of these 5 are ours in abundance, dear friends. Blessed, indeed.
Let's take our joy as seriously as Jesus does: “Father, I pray they will have the fullness of my joy in them” (Jn.17:13). “What has happened to the joy you once had?” (Gal.4:15). "Revive us again, that we may rejoice in you. Show us your unfailing love, Lord…” (Ps.85:6-7)
Why Hope? For starters… Jesus’ cross was our Judgment Day. Abba put us to death in Jesus (Gal.2:20) and raised us up with Jesus (Col.3:1), seated us with Jesus in the heavenlies (Eph.2:6), hid our lives in Jesus (Col.3:3), and now loves us as much as he loves Jesus (Jn.17:23).
“Be still and know that I am God,” and you are not (Isa.46:10). What a rebuke and relief. “Stuff” happens in life but God’s sovereignty eats “stuff” for lunch. All circumstances, consequences, conundrums, and coincidences serve the purposes of Abba’s providence.
You know the person who talks faster and louder to make (win) a point, who puts their meaning on your words, who would rather diatribe rather than dialogue, who assumes the worse of anyone who votes differently than they do? Please don't become him/her. There's too many already.
Father, you've used creek pebbles as bullets, floating ax-heads, talking donkeys, fast-food delivery ravens, rainbows and gnat storms, children toting fish-n-loaves and a hillside full of angels to accomplish your purposes. You are with us/for us, always/everywhere. Thank you!
Jesus, today we purpose to cast our cares on you quicker than we cast blame on others. Free us to call down more grace than fire, and use our words to heal not harm. By your Spirit and the resources of the Gospel, we will be quick to listen, slow to anger, and generous with your

As fully as Abba will fill our gaze with Jesus… with all His kindness our hearts can contain… with all the living hope we can possibly sustain... with the measureless grace and encouragement we have in the Gospel … let’s live and love to God's glory all weekend.
Cutting back on sugar and unprocessed white flour is a wise and healthy choice. NOT cutting back on Social Media is mind-and-heart-decaying foolish. Feasting on Jesus—his truth, goodness, and beauty—gives health, peace, and joy to our whole being. It also blesses those we love.
We’ll never have a better week for abiding/lingering in the love of Jesus and following our Father’s kindness to whatever heart-liberating repentances he’s planned for us.
Hallelujah: “O Lord, yours is the greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. Everything in heaven and earth is yours. There are no borders or boundaries to your kingdom.” (pp 1Chron.29:11). You are God, the Gospel is true, we are yours, Jesus reigns—“BOOM!” and period!
Today we can …
· Be still and know that God is our loving Father.
· Be anxious and live like we are spiritual orphans.
· Be angry and act like we are god—judging/blaming.
Let’s go with the 1st option.
