With #bloodmanagement efforts, RBC transfusion is improved, especially with "why give 2 when 1 will do?" single RBC Tx. But what about PLASMA? Check out this EV article in AJCP showing 1 U FFP Tx is either unnecessary or not enough. #blooducation academic.oup.com/ajcp/advance-a…

10 years ago, we launched #ChoosingWisely - we could not have predicted that a decade later, the initiative would grow to 80 clinical partners, 600 recommendations. Thank you to everyone who has made this campaign an international success. abimfoundation.org/blog-post/cele…

Covid cases in NYC are slowly rising the past few weeks. But I haven’t seen a single Covid patient in my last 6 ER shifts. And hospitalizations remain very low at ~20/day for the whole city. High levels of vaccination + a lot of previous infection = less pressure on hospitals.

Happening now: Crowd of 1000s (and growing fast) in Foley Sq in Lower Manhattan, expressing outrage at loss of abortion rights, committing to fight back on an epic scale. Something powerful has been unleashed.
