Recently I was joined with Jacob, a University of Cumbria year 3 Paramedic student. He gained experience with patients in a variety of specialities, improved his clinical skills & put theory into practice. It was a delight working with him & he will soon be on an ambulance soon 🚑😁💉📟

Ava joined me for a shift last week. She's a Year 2 The Open University student on the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust apprenticeship programme to become a registered nurse. The shift involved escalating concerns, seeing a patient with DOLS in place, as well as the usual clinical skills practice🩸💉📝🏥📟

Both Laura Sherret and I are officially on annual leave and counting down to our first abroad holiday as a family of 3 ✈️☀️🏝🍹💦

It's a busy time for student spokes with Hospital at Night! I've had Kerry who usually works in GP, doing top up from AP to RN with The Open University and Molly who is studying at UoC Nursing Carlisle doing adult nursing degree. Both were fantastic and picked up clinical skills with ease💉🩸

Attended the Lead Educator Fourm on Coaching today in Wigton. This will provide a toolbox of different frameworks, approaches, and principles to get the best out of the students who come to learn at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust 📚🖊💊🩺🩸#TeamNCIC
