🥶🥶🥶🥶 Some Tory MPs *VERY* surprised about the suggestions Rishi Sunak will push back petrol / diesel car ban from 2030 to 2035. One calls it “anti business”, means Sunak breaking a promise he made in private to Tory MPs and says, unprompted, “I’m seriously considering a no

Facile to say VW was a genius but I’m always in awe of the powers of observation that went into all her TV parodies, but especially AA. I saw this long before the things it’s spoofing but when I spot them in old TV - like the dubbing, the baby on film - it brings me so much joy

Obsessed with Elsie Tanner happily wiping her table and singing along to Sheena Easton's 9 to 5 (Morning Train) while smoking a ciggie. Camp!

I had very fond childhood memories, but approached with trepidation as it’s often slagged off as the nadir of cheap, crap kids’ TV. In fact it’s glorious, TV that captures the joyous, anarchic & above all SILLY spirit of panto like nothing else. I love it with all my heart.

There's nothing like listening or reading the plodding banalities of what passes for TV "year's round up"/criticism to remind me how much I miss my old mate Clive James who reinvented the genre with a brilliance still unsurpassed

I feel that if you, as operators of one of London’s best known gay venues, decide that anti-Israel protesters are a more important demographic than gays after a big Eurovision piss-up, you are very much not the right people to be running it.

Why does anyone think that tube trains need a phone signal? Now we’ll have to listen to more people shouting on speaker phones.

The BBC Dramatisation of LOTR was my 'wardrobe' into Middle-earth. Plus I was born on a Saturday night in the Spring of 1981, and my Dad listened every Sunday, so it may be my first literature experience! Here is a thread of the lovely artwork by Eric Fraser, for the Radio Times.
