“The nameless oppressed are who Benjamin wanted us to honour: the many tens of thousands of civilians killed in Gaza and in Sudan. The…fewer than one-quarter of whom are ever formally identified,” writes Dan Hancox in ‘The last days of Walter Benjamin’ ft.com/content/fe8d0d…

Magnificent piece by Dan Hancox in @ft on Walter Benjamin “It is more difficult to honour the memory of the anonymous than that of the renowned. Historical construction is devoted to the memory of the anonymous.” There is still work to be done! on.ft.com/4agi8yz

Belatedly caught up with Dan Hancox’s excellent piece on the last days of Walter Benjamin on.ft.com/3Ce8TSE

"The nameless oppressed are who Benjamin wanted us to honour: the many tens of thousands of civilians killed in Gaza and in Sudan. The many more who have died trying to cross the Mediterranean, or beneath the crenellations of Fortress Europe" Dan Hancox ft.com/content/fe8d0d…

Really looking forward to chatting with Dan Hancox about his latest book at Voce Books on Tuesday! Come along, tix are only £3.

Cannot recommend this new Verso Books book by Dan Hancox highly enough. There is something fascinating on every page. I have been wearily, bitterly jealous of Dan’s excellent journalism for years and this has only added to that

#ThinkingAllowed explores the madness of crowds with Dan Hancox Verso Books Why do we tend to see the 'multitude' as dangerous when its key to democracy? Also, Lisa Mueller asks if crowd cohesion is critical to the success of protests. bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…

I’ve curated many exhibitions but never thought I would be in one..! Congrats to Kasia Tee & Dan Hancox for their Cursed Objects exhibition about museum shops at the Peltz Gallery. Some of the museum pens which I’ve been collecting since I was a child are featured. Go see it!
