It was a honor to present at the Expat Orientation Forum for the Thailand Foundation. Some links to the presentation and images are here. For all arriving expats, CEOs, and diplomats, the next event is Nov 12-13! @Thailandfoundation x.com/foundationthai…

Smiling Albino turns 25 this year! 🥂 To kick off the celebration, we’re throwing it back to 2001 - bleach, bandanas & bold dreams. Founders Daniel & Scott had no idea what was ahead, but they blazed trails all the same. Cheers to 25 epic years! #SA25

A reminder for those getting reentry permit upon departing BKK. Always have THB cash. There are no ATMs inside. No scanning or transferring via mobile or exchanging currencies. No credit cards. Nor can you walk back into the terminal to use ATM. You’ll be a hostage w/out cash.

My native Canada is actually ahead of the states on this issue. Provided it’s not business income, you get to keep your winnings.

When a dude with an accordion rolls up on a lawnmower, you know it’s about to get real. Steve’n’Seagulls turn “Thunderstruck” into a hoedown and I am here for it.

Reflecting on 25yrs building a travel brand. Our focus was always quality, now w/more scale+responsibility. On Day 1 success meant fun ideas + new trips. Success now = innovating constantly & creating long-term opportunities for our clients and our team. I do love this journey!

The miraculous multitasking, high-octane staff at Andre bistro are the hardest hustling in BKK. Polishing glasses while serving water, opening wine while cleaning tables, floating effortlessly through a crowded French bistro, smiling amidst a riot of kitchen chaos. Bless them.

We’re honoured to be mentioned in @afarmedia’s (kudos Kathryn Romeyn) article on seeing Thailand without crowds at places like Koh Yao Noi, Nan, Khao Sok, and Bangkok: link in the bio Smiling Albino smilingalbino #afarmedia #afar #travelblog #travelthailand afar.com/magazine/how-t…

Took 9 clients for canapés & drinks in LA. Ordered in advance, dined at opening hour 5 PM, paid a group surcharge + compulsory gratuity—yet felt like were an inconvenience + unwelcome. They wouldn’t make 2 bills due to “group policy”. What happened to hospitality, is it dead?

Former DMC+luxury MICE pros 👋 Looking for freelance event lead (4–6 mo.) to handle communications for a small incentive in Thailand. Key requirement: excellent client service skills. Research support provided. BKK-based preferred (strong regional candidates too). Keen? DM me ✨

One moment that shaped how we work today? Back in 1999, locals in Chiang Rai showed us places no travelers were visiting. It led to incredible discoveries and lasting friendships. Ever since, finding magic “an inch off the map” has been at the heart of what we do.
