To the #Tigray survivors, victims and their families: thank you for entrusting us with your stories. The recognition for our body of work on Ethiopia serves to counter the false narratives around the reality in Tigray. I’m so incredibly proud to lead this wonderfully dogged team.

I can’t process why a ceasefire is a bad idea to some. It’s disappointing to see so many people okay with collective punishment that is resulting to a genocide! We continue to human wrong.

The last 3yrs have been horrible! I still haven’t processed the many lives we lost in Tigray. - 800k+ killed - 130K+ women raped - 2.2mil international displaced - 70k + refugee in Sudan. A country facing its own horrific events! How do we continue when all we see is death?

It's official: Ethiopia's wars were the world's highest cause of deaths in conflict in 2022. Most in Tigray. Worse than Ukraine, Syria or Afghanistan

The worst kept secret is out: Strong evidence #Ethiopia committed genocide in #Tigray war:. But of course no accountability - means that crimes against humanity will recur as they are in #Darfur #Sudan which experienced same impunity Report aje.io/gwk1bi via Al Jazeera English

Almost 4 years in and we finally get the discussion we have been asking for! Now, let’s move on to accountability so we can heal and rebuild our homes.
