Big shout out to #nokia at #Fyuz22 by TIP chair that Nokia for Service Providers is the first incumbent to have “fully embraced “ the TIP/O-RAN approach and have a “fully compliant” system.

CSP #fyuz22 speakers from Telefónica and Omantel عمانتل just stated that a benefit of O-RAN will be to just buy and pay for the capabilities they want, not pay for embedded features they don’t use. In this way, they expect O-RAN to be cheaper than integrated systems. I am skeptical
