DaMareo Cooper: “We have to stop having the internal conversation. We have to figure out how to have this conversation in community.” After all, “Organizing is about helping people to understand the conditions they’re in, the world as it is.”

DaMareo Cooper puts it this way: “People think government is the playing field but government is the ball — you win whether or not you can score with the ball.” And, fortunately, he says, “I think we’re winning, in part because of the inoculation of political organizing.”
