Ravenhill Road Cycle Lane Update: Following the DFI consultation in May, they've have gone with a 2 way active Ravenhill Road. Work will begin next year. Delighted with this, as I've campaigned for the last 5 years for this, alongside other local reps.

Once again we are talking about migrant ā€œdependentsā€ and our conversation is being led by people sometimes willfully misunderstanding the term

Elon Musk We have freedom of speech in the UK; it's written into our law in the 1998 Human Rigts Act. But rights come with responsibilities (I appreciate that's a concept you're not familiar with); there's a requirement not to incite criminality or spread hatred online. We find society

Have seen this go viral - it's by 'travellernorthernireland' aka Mark Rowan. Don't think he's on this app (don't blame him) but I suggest u follow him on Insta! Us journos get pissy when our names aren't on stories; it's equally unfair when photographers aren't credited!

ā€œFree Speechā€ advocates have typically accepted that one key exception to that freedom exists: inciting violence. It seems clear from Elon Musk’s flurry of posts that he does not accept that restriction. His free speech absolutism extends even to violent incitement.

So very proud of our city today. We came together in our thousands to say no to racists and fascists, in solidarity with minority communities and ready to do the hard work for change. Well done to the organisers and the unions, activist and individuals who came out. #belfast

The funeral will take place tomorrow of Dr Gary McCausland who helped probably 100s of NI start-ups. He just taken on a new role in InvestNI to lead on the startup incubation programme. He was a man of many parts who started his working life at Factory Records.

Green leader Mal O’Hara (he/him) discussing the recent lack of NI executive programme for government commitments around active travel. The Green Party believes we need to invest more in active travel and public services in Northern Ireland, particularly new bus and rail routes & cycling.

Sinn FƩin's transport policies are failing Belfast. Despite traffic volumes on major routes like the M1 and Upper Newtownards Road falling by up to 18% since 2013, congestion has worsened. 1/5
