Thank you everyone who commented. Bottom is the DVD colour recovery version, top is merely a *very* quick re-grade. Glad to see the consensus seems to be that it’s an improvement. A few elements of the original I do think are better. Going to have a go at combining them.

Trying to refine skin tones. Getting there, but the differences in how it looks on different screens or on different programs (what looks great in GIMP, looks a bit Trump in EbSynth) is driving me up the wall.

Bit of manual colourisation in places, and restored the arm and revolver I incorrectly removed before. I think this is about as good as I can get it tbh. Not perfect by any stretch, but much better than I expected when I started.
