Our monthly staff jeans donation had a very special meaning this month! We made a donation in memory of Mrs. Ellis’ mother, Thelma Grant, to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. 🩷🚀🩷

Mr. Tilghman’s fifth grade ELA students have been studying a unit on the Mayan, Incan, and Aztec empires. This unit of study inspired one of his students to purchase an Aztec clothing replica at the NC State Fair.

As we near the day of remembrance for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., our Pre-K students in Mrs. Mitchell’s class are displaying their Peace Quilt in the hallway.

Mrs. Williams’ 4th grade Science students dissected pigs today. This experience afforded our students the opportunity to physically see how body systems work together. Mrs. Williams is a Reach Associate here at Dabney, and we are very proud of her work this year!🚀

The Mobile Dairy Classroom came to share their demonstration with us! 🐄 Our instructor, Courtney, showed our students how to milk a cow and explained how the milk goes from the farm to the consumer. Students were able to interact and ask questions! 🚀🚀

This summer, families can receive $120/student while students are out of school. It will be provided to parents if the household receives aid (TANF, Medicaid, foster care and SNAP/EBT) but addresses have to be updated by March 29 as the cards will be mailed to the address on file
