In this thread, I was painted as a bully and an abuser. While my natural impulse is to say that is an unfair painting, I do realize that no response until now could be seen as giving credence to such a claim.

I brought Evan DeGraff to the Take 3 team in December of 2016 after he began making thumbnails for what at the time was referred to as "The Fan Movie Trivia Schmoedown", the first minor league to the show that ran on Collider at the time.

Along with him was the crew of myself, Jacob Blunden, Kees Cornelisse, Matthew Kearns, Harvey Dryer, Kristen Smith, Ryan McLellan, Abe Flores, Asher Gold, and Chris Clark.

Now, the thing that a lot of original fans would notice during our productions at the time was that the vibe amongst our group was "we bust each other's balls all the time but we never took it TOO far."

This was of course until the events of the 2017 Summer Movie Recap, wherein while Evan was gone for the night, there were roughly fourteen unnecessary pot shots taken at Evan's expense and he had no chance to barb back and play off of the equal dishing going around.

The following day, he had reached out in a Skype call to most of the crew nearly in tears. The things that were said had truly hurt him and he had threatened to leave right then and there.

As an alternative to that though, the group decision was he would stay and we collectively would agree to lessen the ballbusting. And for a brief period, it worked. We seemed to be rebuilding what was damaged. Then the charity event happened.

I'm not gonna pretend for a second that was Kees did was okay. It wasn't. It was embarrassing and it almost hurt what we were trying to accomplish. But I also had formed a friendship and I wanted to believe that my friend would be able to turn it around for everyone else.

As the following days proved, that wasn't mean to be and I did fight to keep the team as it was but the majority voted and he had to go. Later than it SHOULD have happened? Looking back I can see the argument. (I'll admit, it's difficult to be objective about this.)

Back to the thread for a moment, I did make a call that I stood by for a long time. I wasn't pleased with the chemistry between myself and Evan as hosts for fan league matches and rather than straight tell him how to improve, I simply kept hosting with Kees, who I felt a...

better rapport with. And I chose to focus on the feel of how the show went versus only looking at the numbers, which to me was how Evan came across in our conversations regarding that. I should have at least appreciated his passion and willingness to get better.

If that did hurt, it truly was not my intention. My goals at the time were simply build out the league, build up the team to bring their shows with their own spins to the table, and build a podcast network that thrived on the idea of something for everyone.

In regards to the being creepy towards women claim, I think that's really harsh. Am I crass sometimes in appropriate moments? I can be and it's been a struggle my whole life. But I barely have the capacity to talk to women outside of a professional manner so that did hurt.

In regards to the Harloff incident, I did mess up in not including that if he had a guardian with him (considering he was 17 at the time), there wouldn't have been a problem.

Unless there is something else major I missed, I'll start to close out with this: Yes, I avoided this talk for almost two years because I just wanted to move on. To forget about the pain I gave myself because my arrogance led to it in the first place.

Chris Dohmen (@skywalkerdohmen) 's Twitter Profile Photo

That said, I will say that Evan: I never intended to hurt you. I was arrogant because I didn't know what the hell I was doing. And I suppose to an extent, I still don't if last Friday is anything to go off of.

Chris Dohmen (@skywalkerdohmen) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I was wrong to push your feedback aside without proper conversation about it. I am sorry if you feel like you were bullied when at least to me, it only felt like ballbusting with an established line agreed upon by the group.

I just want to exist in my own space, and produce the content that I like making. I'm not asking to rekindle burnt bridges of the past. And I realize this is coming Waaay later than it should have.

Chris Dohmen (@skywalkerdohmen) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Do not misinterpret how I'm saying this last piece because I genuinely don't understand: Why now? There was ample opportunity and other mess ups I made over the last two years.

Chris Dohmen (@skywalkerdohmen) 's Twitter Profile Photo

But I'm not owed anything to be fair. I owe apologies and I acknowledge that for some in the community, Take 3 was Strike 1, 2, and 3!
