A huge thank you to Dr. LaPoma, the staff, and the entire PS 46 community for hosting last night’s mayoral town hall. The event ran from 6 to after 9 PM and the Mayor and his team stayed until every question was answered. True civic engagement in action!

I had an awesome visit at MS74! Students were fully engaged in science, reading discussions, math challenges, STEM and fun-filled enrichment activities. So proud of the joy and curiosity buzzing through the building! Thank you to the students, leaders and staff for a great visit!

Summer Rising is in full swing at PS/IS 178. Students shared their love of math and the dancing in yesterday’s talent show. Students enjoyed breakfast and yoga while grades 3-5 were all smiles about their trip to Laser Bounce. Thank you to Kennedy and staff at Commonpoint Queens!

At PS 221 this morning NY Edge is leading the day with a nature hike trip for the younger grades and a 1st grade class starts a lesson on coding.

ESY at PS/IS 266 is providing our students with awesome academic and social experiences. This week featured skill-building through Cultural Day, Field Day, student-run Ice Cream Shop, and a Fire Safety workshop. Thank you to the leadership and CBO staff for capturing the moments!

Commonpoint at PS 188 went around the world celebrating the cultures of our diverse community and beyond. Students explored their neighborhoods, shared what they love about who they are, where they come from, and where they live. A beautiful celebration of identity and belonging!

Twin Week is in full swing at MS 74! Today, Commonpoint led a soccer tournament with friendly competition. Students created self-portraits in art as their “twins,” and explored DNA helix strands in STEM, learning about mutations, substitutions, and twins!

Battle of the Arts at PS 115! Students turned classroom materials into vibrant door displays representing their class identities. Congratulations to our 1st and 2nd place winners and thank you to Commonpoint Queens for supporting this creative celebration!

Shoutout to Nancy, the incredible crossing guard at PS 221! Thank you for keeping our students safe and starting their day with a smile. We appreciate you!

Summer Rising came alive at MS 172 with an unforgettable Carnival Day! 🎡🍿 From giant slides and endless popcorn to exciting games and prizes, our students filled the day with laughter, friendship, and summer joy!

Summer rising with Commonpoint Queens at 26Q115 held their annual carnival day yesterday. They're excited for the last week which will be filled with slime and video game trucks as well as an end of summer dance!

Huge thanks to our District 26 middle school principals for coming to today’s Grade 8 graduation — even those without students graduating. I love how we always show up for our kids!

Graduations and celebrations aren’t just for the School Year. PS376 made sure students were celebrated today as we closed out the Summer Rising Program. Parents and families thanked the PS 376 team for a great summer. Thank you to all the teachers, staff and Team at NY Edge!

A creative start to the day at PS 188 as we observed a 2nd grader busy building a full restaurant out of Legos this morning. Love seeing imagination in action!

Districts 25 and 26 ESY programs at PS/IS 266 wrapped up its last full week with a bang! 🎉 Students showcased their work with a gallery walk and enjoyed some summer water fun!

PS/IS 266 was rocking with a special visit from the NYPD’s band! Students clapped, danced, and sang along as the school filled with music and community spirit.
