Apply to our Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network SHARE-CTD, a set of "as should be" PhD positions, with good pay & lots of extras nature.com/naturecareers/… And you can join me Università di Padova for project 6. Added value of meta-analyses of shared individual patient data (IPD) in mental health

At Università di Padova we will soon be recruiting for at least one tenure-track position in clinical psychology. These are REAL tenure-track positions of 7 years (reduced in some conditions). At the end, the person is tenured associate professor, after fulfillment of the "abilitazione".

Did you know of this meta-analytic website by @pimcuijpers et al. featuring hundreds of RCTs? In the video I'll show researchers (part I) and clients (part II) how to run a systematic meta-analysis looking into the effect of CBT on depression in older adults within 1 minute.

Interested in meta-science? Come do a PhD with me and Malte Elson at p webber in beautiful Switzerland. Open topic although we focus on error detection (see ERROR) and flexibility in measurement & methods. Email or DM either of us for details. Topic ideas welcome!

I never thought of using multiverse plots to illustrate the results of simulation studies until I saw Craig Sewall do it in a thread. It's such a good idea! I adapted Craig's code into a simple generic plotting function & will use them in my lectures in future.

Ash Paul David Nunan Robert Howard also on BlueSky as @ProfRobHoward Gordon Guyatt statsepi Also though I don’t want to comment on which is the right analysis, surely we can all agree that a meta-analytic estimate that changes significance if a few events are added is not robust? Maybe we do need a trial?

Vienna is one of my favorite cities in the world. Would love to hear more about what working in research and academia is like here. The good, the bad, and the ugly?

Across 91 RCTs, self-report instruments did not overestimate the effects of psychotherapy for depression and were generally more conservative than clinician-rated instruments. link here: bit.ly/4ixTlsw
