In order to fix a problem with Microsoft Teams crashing, Microsoft introduced a vulnerability that can be exploited to gain SYSTEM privileges. 🤔🤨 Vulnerability writeup linked in thread. Suggests Microsoft Windows security is a distant concern for Microsoft.

Syrian Druze leader Hikmat al-Hajri says their latest statement was forced upon them after repeated failed negotiations with Damascus and heavy foreign pressure. “We are facing a war of extermination,” he says. “This is a historic call to everyone: resist by all means.”

Mike Green suggests FFR cuts of 50bp could actually be net deflationary. Basically, on the margin, rates will have to return to near their 2021 lows to be significantly stimulative. 🤔 And passive flows have ruined the stock market, ofc.

Current US copper consumption costs about $16B a year, about 0.5% of GDP. We cannot let lack of copper inhibit our infrastructure, but we also don't need to needlessly drive up the price when new mines take ~10 years to bring on line.

I've asked this question many times. The answer seems to be animal spirits, ie, a ponzi economy. Hence the calls for a 1% FFR. Fighting the ponzi-incurred debt with ponzi-stimulated economic activity. 🤔

Peter Thiel has advised that single-digit millionaires can't afford justice in the US. And that was around 10 years ago. I bet $20M is required now. 🤔
