Everyone is on some or the other Messaging app. Adults and children both seem to stay glued to their screens for major part of the day. So what are the possible threats and what can parents do? #app #parenting #digitalliteracy #blog securingtomorrow.mcafee.com/consumer/famil…

True... parents need to role model good behaviour. That is why they need to teach kids to listen by asking open-ended qustions, quizzing them on the correctness of their action, making them think about what they really feel before speaking. #parenting #cybersafety

Over 2k apps in Google Play Store are fake. #cybersafety tip: Never be in a hurry to download apps. Check the no. of downloads, ask around, check app name and reviews on trusted sites and secure your device first. #digitalparenting #app

Advice to teens: not everyone can be a good friend. Those who are, will remain so for lifetime; others will simply disappear with time. Focus on those who tell you the truth as it is but always has your back. #cybersafety #teens #Friends #cyberbullying

Good tip Alex! Alex Merton-McCann . Children often think it's part of being besties to share all secrets. We need to teach them about privacy and private space. #cybersafety #privacy #parenting #passwords

Did you know you can use your map #app to kill 2 birds- keep kids engaged and increase their geographical knowledge? E.g., "Find the fastest cycling route from X to Y?" or "Which countries would you cross if you walked from A to B?" #cybersafety tip: Keep location app turned off

#socialmedia etiquette: Taking permission is very important before: 1) you share someone's pic/content on your page or elsewhere 2) Tag them in group pics 3) Add them to new groups you have created 4) Spam their inbox with ads #cyberetiquette #values #etiquette #cybersafety

This is very important. As I keep reirerating, #cybersafety needs to become part of curriculum so that all children have access to correct knowledge on privacy, security, cyber attacks etc and know how to identify and deal with false profiles and fake news.
