Delighted to announce that we have purchased the area known as Cwmbach Wetlands. 27acres of outstanding beauty and wildlife. We will now give it to Cwmbach Community Wetlands on a 25year lease with the aim of environmental conservation. Our thanks go to Cynon Taf Housing PyC Community Fund

Here's some excellent news to end the week – Cwmbach Community Wetlands have been successful in purchasing the Wetlands on a 25 year lease. I’ve enjoyed working with the group over the past few years, and have been impressed by their vision and passion.

Swifts dancing in the sunset on Korcula in Croatia. They nest in the belfry of the campanile of the church and in the towers in the old town and are allowed to - no nets there to prevent them. Just look at the result of nature being allowed to have a home 💚

📣 Temporary signs put up at the start of the river path which is currently CLOSED to the public as the path is uneven in places and can be slippery in wet weather. Anyone who does walk down the path does so at their own risk. PCSO’s will also be walking the area. Thank you

There is a STILL a YELLOW weather warning in place for rain. Please be aware that the path between Aberaman and Cwmbach can be prone to flooding in heavy rain and that the Cwmbach Community Wetlands 🦆 path (along the river) is CLOSED to the public. Thank you
