#VNAM2021 Catherine has been with CVG for over 16 years, working here during the end of her degree training before qualifying in 2005. She has always enjoyed her role as a surgical nurse on a Friday and has a great deal of experience in anaesthesia in many species.

#VNAM2021 This is Selina, our deputy head nurse. After qualifying in 2008 she has been working in a mixture of small animal and large animal practice before joining us at CVG in 2016. She has a keen interest in Surgery, Anaesthesia, Labwork and all aspects of stock control.

Check out this beautiful Hobby being released from The Raptor Foundation. He came to us in late May with a wing fracture, which we stabilised, then transferred him to their care for his ongoing fracture treatment and rehabilitation for release. buff.ly/3x35Gxe

With the hot weather set to continue this week, please ensure your pets are protected from the heat. Very young, elderly or ill pets, or animals with shortened noses (Pugs, Frenchies, dwarf rabbits and Persian cats included) are much more at risk even at lower temperatures.

Do you protect your cat from the sun? Cats with white hair / skin on their ears and noses should wear sunscreen as they are around 14 times more at risk of IV induced cancer in these areas - on the front edge of the ear pinna, & tip of the nose. buff.ly/2Y3KAQC
