Interesting debate on density in Vancouver- relevant to Tāmaki Makaurau ( actually Urba centres in Aotearoa). Highlights need for 3D precinct plans to assess scale, suitability & allow for nuance.

The trade-off of urban living: smaller personal spaces (no backyards!) but excellent shared spaces. When we deliver on the promise, it's really great. Here, one of our newer parks in downtown Toronto. #WalkableCity

Do u really want to know how your city could transform public transit virtually overnight to dramatically increase ridership? Making transit free MIGHT help but not likely if buses are stuck in car traffic. The answer is to change car lanes to bus-only lanes & increase frequency.

We’ve gone from “bike lanes are ruining the city” to “I should probably bike to work” in about 18 months. Bike lanes - physically present, well protected, visible - precipitated this change.
