New study: 98% of Central Eurasia (40-65°N, 50-130°E) experienced cooling from 2004-2020. Specifically, the region cooled nearly -2.0°C - a rate of -1.425°C/decade - from 2004 to 2018. The cooling is attributed to a +5.38%/decade snow cover increase. iopscience.iop.org/article/10.108…

New post from Planning Engineer Russell Schussler shows how residential solar power seems affordable for homeowners, but raises system costs thru rate structures that over-incentivize adoption judithcurry.com/2025/05/22/why…

The reason the ozone hole hasn't recovered 30 years after the CFC ban is the same reason the climate wouldn't be fixed by the net zero ‟solution”. The overestimation of the human effect due to neo-anthropocentrism. amazon.com/dp/8412778383/ researchgate.net/publication/39…

New study: Clouds "play a crucial role in determining Earth's energy balance". Declining cloud cover has driven a 0.45 W/m²/decade increase in solar radiation reaching Earth's surface (2001-2024). The SW cloud radiative effect explains modern warming. agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/20…

Climate scientists studying a "Warming Hole" have made a groundbreaking discovery discrediting a theory long promoted by activists. Turns out recent jet stream waviness is well within bounds of long-term variability and less than during 1940s, 1960s, 1980s.

Another day, another new study has sea levels 2.5 to 3.2 m higher than today from 7000-6000 years ago. This one is from the Arabian Sea (Oman). Sea levels were higher because less water was locked up on land as ice throughout the much warmer Mid-Holocene. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
