The curly head’s cheeks flushed a bright, crimson red at the words falling from her mate’s lips. “Well, hangover and all, I think you look absolutely dashing” she grinned, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead. “I’d offer you a liquid IV but…”

She chuckles lightly, snaking her fingers through his hair. “What do you need, love?” Her big, brown eyes found his obsidian orbs. “Is there anything I can bring you?”

Her lips pull up into a gentle smile before she stands, striding her way over to his curtains. “Your wish is my command!” A quick swoop sent the sunlight away. “Very Dracula in here now, I like it” She nods at this thought.

“Is that even a question?!” The curly head beamed with excitement, quickly shuffling over to her mate. “Scoot!” She swooped her way onto the couch, snuggling up to his chest. A soft sigh escaped her lips.

“I love you like the stars hold the moon… you light me up like the most brilliant cerulean sunrise” She placed her right hand on his chest, her forehead pressed just below his collarbone. This is her idea of heaven on earth.

“How cheesy is cheesy?” The curly head mused, now looking up at her mate with big doe eyes. “I wonder how long it’ll take you to metabolize all that… you think Mekhi is feeling this way too?” Suddenly, a loud gasped escaped her lips. “My drawings!”

“It wasn’t every…” she cut herself off, thinking back on all of the drawings she had created. “Well…” her cheeks flushed a bright red, her face showing a mix of embarrassment and bashfulness. “Yes, those drawings”

She chuckles softly, careful not to rattle him. “If he even got out of bed today” the curly head hummed softly, tangling her fingers into his hair. “Now you’re rocking a marking from me”

The curly head’s face flushes red, a soft chuckle rattling her body before she presses a kiss on the top of his nose. “Any mark you say?” She raises her brows, now intrigued by this statement. “And you’d wear it like a trophy?”

“So if I bite you?” She grinned, teasing the vampire. “I think I’d have a pretty nasty bite” She pressed a few kisses to each of his cheeks and forehead.

“Oh, is that so?” She dared, moving her head to hover her lips over his neck. “Fine… if you insists” she gently bit the flesh of his neck playfully. Of course she doesn’t have the same effect as him, but it was worth the small victory.

She raises her head to look at him, blinking twice. “Well, who else would be biting you?” She asked curiously, her left brow shooting up. Of course she’s just pulling his leg. Someone has to keep the vamp in line. The curly head snuggles up closer to him.

She yelps the moment he shifts them, a lighthearted laugh rattling through her. Her right hand reaches up to touch his cheek, cupping his face in her hand. “I love you Jaxon. Now and forevermore” she promised, her eyes locking on his.

“How can I be the best when that title already belongs to you?” Her lips pulled up into a grin, her thumb caressing his cheek gently. “Love doesn’t come easy to us… but I’m happy I found it in you” she whispered.

She laughs at his comment, shaking her head. “Still just a chess piece my love” she grinned, pressing a kiss to his chin. “Your heart will always be safe here as long as mine is beating with yours”

“I don’t know… the strawberry was pretty damn sexy” she grinned, running her fingers through his hair. “Your lips are heavenly my dear…” She sighed softly, relaxing into the couch.

Her body erupted into goosebumps at the feeling of his gentle kisses. “That’s perfect… I love your kisses anyway” she whispered back, running her fingers through his hair tenderly. “And yes it was hot, very hot” Her fingers trailed to gently scratching the back of his neck

“Mmm…” she grinned, letting out a peaceful sigh. “So can I love you till we’re gray and old?” She whispered, then thought about her words for a moment. “Well… until one of us looks gray and old” she chuckled lightly.

The curly head chuckles, shaking her head. “I couldn’t possibly ask for anyone better, you are all I’ve ever needed” She pulls on their mating bond softly, her eyes flickering between his. “Butterflies can’t stop me from falling for you my dear…”

Her lips pull up into a smile while her cheeks flush a hot pink. “Hey Jaxon?” She whispered softly, looking up into his obsidian eyes. The curly head couldn’t help but admire her mate. He lit her up like the brightest star in the galaxy.
