Young people aren't choosing biology or chemistry because they're easier - they're more likely to choose them because young women are told that "women can't do hard science or maths". Grateful to have had an amazing (and successful!) viva experience today. Thank you to my examiners who were challenging in a way that got me talking about things I've been so invested in for years. And huge thanks to my supervisors Colin McCaig and @JonDeanStuff. Now for cake.

Quick book recc: making my way through the exercises in this book by Helen Kara 🇺🇦 #FreeUkraine and Janet Salmons and have already identified some really useful 'assets' in chapters of my thesis I was going to skim over. Very helpful!
