Can someone please explain to me what it would take for Ontario to bring back indoor mask mandates? Aren’t the cancelled surgeries enough? Aren’t the record high wait times in ERs enough? Aren’t the overwhelmed children’s hospitals enough? Isn't all of this suffering...enough?

Last week, Doug Ford was advocating for children to be in class, but now he won’t advocate for our children to be safe in those classrooms. Hospitals are in crisis. We are calling for universal masking in schools and on public transit. Read more here: shorturl.at/rwyNY

@nestruck Not sure how it works in the theatre realm, but when a top medical official commanding a taxpayer funded salary of $400K holds a major news conference to implore everyone wear a mask and then doesn't follow his own advice 72 hours later, it's generally something we look into.

My son has 1 Teacher in his class & he has a very detailed, teacher-involved IEP 20 other kids & how many of those also need this type of support? Maybe 3-5..more? It’s impossible for her execute it all, with fidelity How dare we put them all in that position #ontedsolidarity

Lorenda Reddekopp Doug Ford to Ontario health care workers: As the premier, I want you all to work days, nights, and weekends to ease this health care crisis that I personally have done nothing about. Also Doug Ford:

So masks are not coming back, but could we at least put school screening back in place??? I have never seen so many very sick kids sent to school in my entire career! It’s like this everywhere and it’s a big part of the problem. Stephen Lecce Doug Ford

So Doug Ford has LOST every court challenge and should repay the tax $ of ours he spent fighting them all. Retweet if you'd like to see those $ go to housing/healthcare/education...

This is so damning. In his ruling on Bill 124, the justice found Ontario was not facing a financial situation that justified an infringement of Charter rights- in fact he found the Ford government didn’t provide a rationale at all for needing the legislation to cut costs (1/3) -

Every one of us should be angry that one of Ontario’s largest children’s hospitals has had to call in the Red Cross to help with staffing. Every one of us should be demanding that our government immediately invest more resources into our healthcare system. Every one of us.

When the Red Cross is called into a children's hospital to address a crisis...it is worth noting that Ford under spent by 900 million in health care 2022. Red Cross workers are ussually called in for disaster relief...#onpoli thestar.com/politics/provi… via @torontostar

If the Ontario College of Teachers feels that a 17% raise in fees is necessary to deal with inflation & increased operational needs, then I guess we know where Elementary Educators OSSTF Communications and René Jansen in de Wal, OECTA President need to begin the discussions on wages.. turns out OSBCU-CSCSO was low in their ask

Influenza is not very contagious. It’s much easier to stop than covid. We had very few flu admissions in the 2021-22 season and we definitely weren’t in LoCkDoWn then. We know exactly what to do to stop this tsunami of severely sick kids. The deciders have decided not to stop it.

Strange how the Ontario government's approach to knowing that Bill 124 contributes to health worker shortages…is to appeal the court ruling which scrapped Bill 124. It’s almost as if they want the health worker shortages to continue. 🙄

Doug Ford simply was not there to help protect people when he was needed most. From his attacks on healthcare, the Greenbelt, & education, to his refusal help try to keep you safe, it’s clear: Doug Ford doesn’t care about you. #onpoli thestar.com/politics/feder…

Who remembers when Stephen Lecce said during the 2019 contract negotiations that the Bill 124 1% wage restrictions would enable the government to put more money into classroom supports? It never happened! In fact, the ed budget was underspent by close to $1 B last year alone. #onted
