Next year, 300,000 Teamsters at UPS will likely strike for a fair contract. The last time they struck, UPS begged Bill Clinton to intervene for the company. He didn’t, and workers won historic gains. What Biden does on the railroads is a test. Millions of workers are watching.

If capitalism was really about "voluntary transactions" capitalists wouldn't work constantly to crush unions and destroy the labor movement.

When will this country fully accept that police are not here to protect the public? How much more incompetence, cowardice and violence do folks need to see?

Most of the media reports around the Club Q mass shooting focus on how Richard Fierro and tend to minimize Thomas James' part in the story. I suspect because they would rather talk about a vet and leave out how a transphobe got curb stomped by a drag queen in heels #WeKeepUsSafe

At this point I hope the railway workers strike on general principle. Capital has made it clear that they will not tolerate any sort of labor victory under any circumstances. They are playing annihilation and we really can't afford to lose. Kick em in the nuts.

If the consequences of a strike would be catastrophic, I guess that means those employees are highly valuable and should be compensated as such. A few sick days is low balling their worth. Especially given the profits rail companies bring in. Give them what they want. Period.

Always remember you have far more in common with striking nurses, railway workers, and postal workers than with the political and media classes telling you those people are your enemy.

The "Mr Beast is bad because he monetized a video where he paid for people to be cured of blindness" discourse is why we can't have nice things. Probably shouldn't worship him, but I guarantee you that he's done more for society than any of these terminally online dorks.

That Joe Biden is polling worse among Dem primary voters than Trump is with GOP primary voters really speaks to the fact that Joe Biden was forced on voters by a party that hates its own base

Loving how the Intel sources who started out saying "Nord Stream was totally Russia" are now saying "we don't comment on active investigations". They were fine commenting on active investigations before it was increasingly obvious that it was actually them. Just saying.
