Listening to Drake Kulick tell a Judd Anderson story on the “Washed Up Walk Ons” podcast without naming Judd is the most Muscatine thing I will do today.

Enjoyed listening to Tony Kornheiser's podcast today in which he recorded voiceovers for Keith Olbermann's Countdown podcast. Can't wait to hear which version Olbermann uses.

In response to someone else's tweet, I mentioned a podcast my virtual friends Rekah Basu and Julie Gammack are starting, "What the Hell Happened to Iowa." Got more attention than anything I've ever done on Twitter. They better hurry with the podcast.

So you were 36-0 and the defending national champions? That doesn’t impress Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa over South Carolina, 77-73.

A benefit of driving rental cars with Illinois license plates is that other drivers everywhere think you’re likely to drive aggressively and give you a little more room to cut in and out of traffic. Pretty sure the only place where this isn’t true is Illinois.

As a young know-it-all newspaper guy, I used to hang up the phone and laugh when older readers called to complain on June 6 if their newspaper didn't at least mention the anniversary of D-Day. These days, I'm more sympathetic -- especially on 9-11 -- to those complaints.

What a relaxing and productive Saturday I’ve had. It’s enough to make me think Iowa football fans needed a bye week almost as much as the players and coaches needed it.

I’m sure Deacon Hill is the kind of young man anyone would want as a son, but I hope he never again plays QB for Iowa after today. Iowa needs a mobile QB who doesn’t turn the ball over and can throw with some touch and accuracy.

Quite awhile ago, this website on my PC changed from the default display to lights out. I finally changed it back today and I can actually read it again. No more lights out.
