Genes are so funny, my son did not grow up with his grandfather, he doesn't really interact with him due to language barriers but somehow I gave birth to my father's clone.

He smiles the same way, they're both in the spectrum, mannerisms are the same, now my son wants to connect coins. My father has a huge collection and I've never spoken of it before.

MyHeritage might not be my preferred DNA test for Ancestry composition but the DNA connections are excellent especially for relatives in the French Caribbean and continental France. Just connected with a second cousin on my mother's maternal line. Dominica to Martinique.

I've found that asking my family anything about their family history is akin to digging in their purse or wallet without their permission. I have to wait for them to offer me crumbs and connect dots on my own. #caribbeangenealogy
