We are getting our Croydon TRG ready for a September launch. We have a flyer! And dates! And a venue! Please share 😃Reading for Pleasure 🧶

So we had our 1st Croydon TRG session today and I forgot to take any photos! So you can see by how few cakes and biscuits are left that it was a good session! A lovely bunch of teachers and we’re off on our RfP journey together!😀 Reading for Pleasure 🧶 Debbie Thomas Teresa Cremin

Delighted my latest Example of Practice has been published on the Reading for Pleasure 🧶 If you want to support all staff in reflecting on their reading identities, barriers to reading and encourage them to share this authentically with children, please take a look! ourfp.org/eop/really-rea…

Here's me teaching Michael Rosen 💙💙🎓🎓 NICE 爷爷 'Nursery Grime' - remixing nursery rhymes at 140bpm, at the Barbican for the Week Junior Book Festival. His rap name is MC Mike.

Here’s an opportunity to get a free category! It’s a great way to grow staff (&kids) knowledge of new texts and authors ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ Reading for Pleasure 🧶 Kelly Ashley #WordPower Teresa Cremin

A fantastic second session at our Croydon TRG this evening. We shared a wonderful range of picture books via speed book dating ❤️ Rich RfP discussions were had, too. What a lovely group of teachers 😃 Reading for Pleasure 🧶 Debbie Thomas Kelly Ashley #WordPower Teresa Cremin

Every month this year, I intend to give away a full class set of one book via A New Chapter - Children's Bookstore - I truly believe a full class set is one of the most valuable resources a teacher can have when teaching reading. No faff to enter, just retweet and consider yourself in. January.

Another successful Booknic ✅ If you don’t do these in your school, I highly recommend it. Great way to share reading research with families & then give the opportunity to move around the tables, get comfy & read with their child whilst engaging in book talk 📚 Reading for Pleasure 🧶

We had a lovely 4th TRG session with a focus on poetry and non-fiction. There was lots of great feedback on the progress of Examples of Practice and we’re looking forward to our 5th and final session in May 😀 Reading for Pleasure 🧶 Debbie Thomas
